David and Diana were the first wedding I photographed in 2019, and as of now the only one until this coming August. I remember summer of last year sitting in front of my computer and worrying that I only had 1 wedding booked for spring of 2019. My stress level was definitely hard. What is keeping couples from finding me and booking me? How come everyone is getting clients left and right, except me. Thats when the the comparison snake starts creeping in through the little holes I made by being anxious. That’s when I said, nope, not doing that again.
I started praying and trusting that God’s plan, whatever it is, it is the best. Part of me thought that I was going to be pregnant and that God was giving me a little bit of free time! My idea of God’s plan wasn’t even close to His plan. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought, we’ll be living in Hawaii come Spring 2019. But isn’t God just the best?
I remember being so worried about how to tell David and Diana that Alex won’t be able to second shoot, but instead I would have my favorite photographer with me Monica. They were so loving and understanding, it only showed that I serve some of the best people in the world. When their wedding came, I was so excited to celebrate with them and to begin the next chapter in our life, in the coming week!
David and Diana have the sweetest love for one another, and love each other the way Jesus loves us, deeply and joyfully! We laughed, we teared up, and celebrated together! It was definitely one of my favorite weddings! 🙂
I am so thankful for all of you who believed in me and my work for the past 7 years! I am so excited for the season of Hawaii weddings and sessions taking over the blog! That being said, I will be in Arizona in October and will be taking a very limited number of sessions as we will be spending a lot of time connecting with friends and family! If you would like to book a session make sure to send me a message by filing out the contact me form below! Can’t wait! 🙂
