I like to believe that my couples are the best couples.
Not because they’re drop dead gorgeous – even though that’s a given – but because marriage is more important to them than how perfect their wedding is. Katie and Nick’s timeline got pushed back so much that at one point I just stopped looking at it. We wanted to do a first touch with her groom and a first look with her dad, but we didn’t get too. There wasn’t an ounce of annoyance or disappointment on Katie’s face.We were actually 10 minutes late to the ceremony, and you know what she said, “that’s alright, it’s not like they can have the wedding without me!” and then burst out laughing. That was what Nick and Katie’s wedding was full of. Laughter and so much joy.
Blackstone Country Club was an incredible venue. The ladies who coordinated were just amazing. They helped tie the back of Katie’s dress, and then helped bustle the dress, and last but definitely not least, they coordinated family portraits so that we did them all in under 10 minutes (WHAT?), and were just all together wonderful!
I’m so grateful that I got to photograph Nick and Katie’s wedding day but above all I’m grateful for our friendship. Love you guys so much! ❤️
