One of the things I send my couples prior to the engagement session is an Engagement Session Style Guide. It’s been such a saver when it comes to helping you what to wear for your engagement session. With that being said, one of my favorite outfits to photograph is dresses. GIVE ME ALL THE DRESSY OUTFITS! Seriously, I started using the guide towards the end of 2016, and it changed the way all my couples prepare for their session. If you don’t believe me, go down my Instagram feed, or look back to all the engagement sessions in the past year. Such fancy outfits!!!!
Anyway, knowing all that, when Sam and Emmy’s engagement session day arrived, I knew it was gonna be cold because we chose to do it during the sunrise instead of the sunset since we figured it won’t be as packed. And y’all, it was cold. Like really cold. Like I ditched my thin jacket and wore Alex’s thick work jacket the whole time. So you can imagine that even for a second did not expect Emmy to wear a dress, I mean what kind of person would I be if I expected her to come out in 45-degree weather wearing heels and a dress. Well, when we arrived at the location for the Hot Air Balloon Festival, Emmy gets out of her car and she is wearing a dress… and STRAPPY SANDALS! Wow, such a trooper you guys! I continually gave her so many kudos and took many breaks to warm up her toes and legs.
Sam and Emmy, thank you so so much for waking up wayyyyy too early for any human being to be up at, thank you for reading and using the information from the style guide, thank you for being adventurous and fun, and thank you for laughing at all my weird jokes!!! I can’t wait for your March wedding in a couple of weeks!!! 🙂
